KARACHI: The trailer of Janhvi Kapoor’s and Ishaan Khatter’s Dhadak finally hit the web on Monday.
According to India Today report issued from Mumbai today, the film is a remake of the Marathi blockbuster, Sairat, and has been directed by Shashank Khaitan.
Janhvi missed her mother, late actress Sridevi more than ever today and said, “I saw Sairat with mom at home and I remember telling her ‘I wish that this was my first film and I could do something like it.’ Me and mom had this big discussion how even she wanted a role like this for me and then you (Karan Johar ) called and it happened.”
“I definitely miss her today,” said an emotional Janhvi. She also shared some tips Sridevi had once given her. “To work hard and feel every emotion. I think I have tried to do that.”
Her sister Khushi, who was also present at the launch, was emotional too, and gave her sister a comforting hug. Asked if her character is similar to what Rinku Rajguru played in Sairat, Janhvi answered, “I don’t think any other actor can come near what Rinku did with her character of Archie in Sairat. My character, Parthavi, is very different from Archie and I have simply tried to play my character honestly,” she said.
