DBA Larkana elections held

LARKANA: In District Bar Association (DBA) Larkana’s annual elections, PML-N supported candidate won the seat of President defeating his rival having support of Pakistan Peoples Party.

According to the result, senior advocate Ghulam Dastagir Shahani contested election for the post of President from Sindh Dost Panel and won the seat by securing 338 votes whereas his opponent Aqeel Bhutto of Trusted Panel secured 231 votes.

The post of general secretary was won by Trusted Panel candidate Akbar Dahar who secured 356 votes and his opponent Irshad Chandio obtained 220 votes. Imdad Tunio won the seat of Vice President defeating his rival Afzal Jagirani by taking nine more votes.

Imdad Tunio, a candidate for the post of joint secretary having support of PTI, took largest votes and won the seat. He obtained 356 votes. Senior advocate Inayat Morio told media here on Sunday that PPP supported candidates were able to win 10 seats out of 13 adding that their opponents got one seat in managing committee and they secured six seats.
