Dr Nimarta case: judicial inquiry time extended for one month

KARACHI:Sindh Home Department on Wednesday extended one month time for judicial inquiry in Asefa Dental Collage Student Dr Nimarata Chandani’s case.

According to a notification issued by Home Department, inquiry time has been extended on the recommendations of inquiry team. The session judge of Larkana had written a letter seeking extension of further time for judicial inquiry of Dr Nimarta’s case.

The letter stated that inquiry of the incident has not been completed yet because some reports are not received so inquiry time might be extended.

However, home department authorities said that Dr Nimarta’s finger prints reports are not collected yet and police also need further time for collecting forensic reports so one month be extended in judicial inquiry.

It may be noted that the final postmortem report of Nimrita Kumari issued by Chandka Medical College Hospital (CMCH) Woman Medico-Legal Officer (WMLO) Dr Amrita on Wednesday (06 November) revealed that the deceased was subjected to rape before being murdered.
