ISLAMABAD:The deadline for scrutiny of nomination papers of candidates of general elections has expired.
According to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), scrutiny of nomination papers was scheduled to be completed at 1600 hours on Tuesday.
Returning officers have now started compiling final lists of candidates. Appeals against rejection or acceptance of nomination papers can be filed by Friday.
Appellate Tribunals will decide the appeals by 27th June, after which the revised list of candidates will be published the next day.
