Electioneering gains pace in Larkana

LARKANA: Election campaign has gained momentum in Larkana district of and candidates are trying their best to convince the voters that they will perform better if they won the polls.

However, Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA) candidate for PS-12 Saifullah Abro suffered a setback on Sunday when his opponent PPP’s Suhail Anwar Siyal called on a local leader Javed Mithani who announced to join PPP by ditching the GDA.

Javed Jagirani, a notable of Usman Jagirani village of Union Council Mahotta, also announced to join PPP along with his supporters.

GDA candidate from PS-11 Moazim Abbasi visited various villages of his constituency where he was assured of full support by the villagers.

Meanwhile, hundreds of young men took out a motorcycle rally from old bus stand in his favour holding his portraits, GDA flags and placards. After marching on various roads they reached Naundero roundabout where they were addressed by Abbasi.

PTI candidate for PS-10 Ameer Bakhsh Bhutto has announced support to GDA candidate Akbar Shah Rashdi who is contesting on PS-12 and is a leader of PML-Functional.

Both leaders said that they will give preference to education, health, employment and provision of safe drinking water to the citizens.

Meanwhile, GDA candidate for PS-15 Dr. Safdar Abbasi is also very busy in convincing voters for his support. He visited several villages including Pandi, Aftab Magsi, Meeral Machi, Hamal, Arzi Bhutto and others.

While addressing the villagers, Dr Safdar said that accountability of previous rulers has started and soon they will pay for their misdeeds.
