Excise police recover 46kg hashish from a truck

KARACHI: During the ongoing operation against drug dealers on the direction of Minister of Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control and Parliamentary Affairs, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Kandiaro Excise Police, under the supervision of Excise Inspector Imtiaz Ali Makhdoom, conducted search at a check-post near Kandiaro and recovered 46 kilograms of hashish.

During the search of truck number TK-883, 46 kilograms of hashish was recovered from its secret boxes and accused Qadir Shah arrested. The accused is said to be a resident of Quetta. A case has been registered against him and an investigation has been launched.

Over the successful action, Mukesh Kumar Chawla, Secretary, Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Control Abdul Haleem Sheikh, and Director General Excise and Taxation and Narcotics Shoaib Ahmed Siddiqui have congratulated the policeand expressed their hope that they would continue to nab drug dealers in the future.

Chawla said that all stakeholders in the society had to work together to discourage the nefarious practices of drug trafficking.
