Fawwad Choudhry, Sindh governor discuss Karachi package progress

KARACHI:Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Fawwad Chaudhry on Sunday called on Sindh Governor Imran Ismail at Governor’s House.

They discussed in detail the conducive atmosphere of investments in Sindh, incentives given to promote investments, federally funded development projects, package announced by Prime Minister for Karachi, progress on the same and other matters of mutual interest.

The governor said that Karachi is the financial hub of Pakistan and any activity here has a direct bearing on the economy of the country. “There is very conducive atmosphere for investment here after improvement in law and order situation,” he observed

He said that federally funded projects would go a long way in improving the infrastructure of Karachi. “The same is the need of the hour as despite being one of the largest cities in the world, Karachi is far behind in this sector,” he opined

He said that provincial government and local bodies would be included and their input would be incorporated so as to execute and complete development schemes with utmost standard and also ensure timely completion.

He said that the federal government was implementing the vision of development of all parts of the country. Prime Minister was attaching top priority to the solution to problems being faced by Sindh, he added.

He said that the dream of new Pakistan would be realized under the dynamic leader ship of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
