Federal govt announces holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr

KARACHI: The federal government on Friday announced four holidays for Eid-ul-Fitr that will commence from 15 June 2018.

According to a summary issued by the Interior Ministry Eid holidays will be observed from June 15 (Thursday) to June 18 (Tuesday) in the country.

On Wednesday, Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) said that there are visible chances of the Eid moon being sighted on June 15, Friday.

According to the Met Office, there are fewer chances of the moon being sighted on June 14 (Thursday) with a chance of Eid-ul -Fitr being celebrated on June 16 (Saturday) across Pakistan.
