Toba Tek Singh:First polio case of the year was reported here from Toba Tek Singh, creating panic in healthcare circles.
A two-year-old polio patient Manahil Batool of village GB246 was shifted to the district headquarters hospital. However, his parents told the doctors that she was given polio drops many times.
It may be noted that this was the first polio case from the area this year; however, hundreds of dengue fever cases are being reported every day due to failure of Punjab health department to control vector-borne diseases.
