Four killed, two wounded in city road accidents

KARACHI: Four people were killed and two other injured in separate road accidents in the city on Monday.

According to rescue sources, a 19-year-old youth, Tipu Sultan, son of Shoaib, was hit by a fast-moving vehicle near Guru Mandir area. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. However, his mother, Naseema, aged 40, was critically injured. The body and injured were brought to Civil Hospital Karachi for medico-legal formalities and treatment, respectively.

In another incident, Imran Ali, aged 20, son of Khuda Bux, was hit by a speeding vehicle on Northern Bypass. He suffered critical injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for an autopsy.

Meanwhile, a 32-year-old man, Yaqoob Shah, son of Mohammad Shah, was critically wounded when he was hit by a vehicle in Port Qasim area. He was rushed to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.

A 45-year-old unknown man was hit by a fast-moving vehicle in Gulistan-e-Jauhar area. As a result, he suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The body was shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) for an autopsy.

Separately, a 35-year-old unknown woman was hit by a speedily vehicle at Jauhar Morr in early hours of Monday. As a result, she sustained severe injuries and died on the spot. The body was brought to JPMC for medico-legal formalities.
