Gang involved in 350 motorbike thefts busted

KARACHI:The Sindh Rangers have busted a gang of motorbike lifters and arrested head of the gang from Karachi’s Jaffar-e-Tayyar Society in Malir on Friday.

According to rangers’ spokesman, a rangers team conducted a raid in Jaffar-e-Tayyar Society and arrested the head of the motorbike lifter gang Zafarullah alias Boring Wala.

The rangers’ official said that according to initial investigations, the suspects were involved in lifting motorcycles from different parts of the megacity.

He added that the arrested accused confessed to stolen and snatched more than 350 motorbikes with the help of his three accomplices from the city’s parking lots and commercial areas.

The spokesman said that after changing the vehicles’ chassis and registration numbers, the suspects used to sell them to their three dealers in Balochistan.

The rangers also recovered weapons and contrabands for the arrested accused possession.
