GM Syed’s 115th birthday anniversary observed

SANN:Renowned Sindhi nationalist leader and scholar GM Syed’s 115th birth anniversary was observed Thursday with respect and fervour.

Various nationalist parties, including Sindh United Party (SUP), Jeay Sindh Qaumi Muhaz-Aresar group (JSQM-B), JSQM-Bashir Qureshi group, Jeay Sindh Mahaz (JSM), Jeay Sindh Tahreek (JST), and Jeay Sindh Liberal Front (JSLF) held public gatherings in this regard and paid rich tribute to GM Sayed.

Addressing the gathering, SUP Vice President Syed Zain Shah said that GM Syed played his vital role for the progress and prosperity of Sindh as he was sincere to his politics.

Shah said it was unfortunate that since 72 years, Sindh had been demanding its due rights but the ruling government had deprived it of its due rights.

He said their struggles had always been for the rights of Sindh and would continue until due rights were given.

Shah also lashed out at government’s attitude toward Sindh. ‘’Country’s foreign policies since 72 years has remained controversial resulting in economic loss,’’ he said

Sindh’s ruling party Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) have done nothing for hundreds of political activists of Sindh who disappeared. GM Syed was a political leader of Sindh and famous for his scholarly work, spearheading the Pakistan Independence bill in the British Sindh Assembly.

GM Syed was born on January 17, 1904 to the Syed family of Sindh in Sann village in District Dadu.
