Governor Balochistan, DS call on Chairman Senate

ISLAMABAD:Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Agha and Deputy Speaker, National Assembly, Qasim Khan Suri, called on Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman, Senate at Parliament House here on Thursday.

According to a statement, overall political situation of the country, ongoing development schemes in Balochistan and other issues of bilateral interest came under discussion during the meeting. In the meeting it was agreed to take concerted steps for highlighting the soft image of the province.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani, Chairman, Senate said that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) would indeed prove to be a “game changer” which would alter the lot of the province. He added that completion of development schemes in the province would provide job opportunities to the unemployed youth of Balochistan. Governor Balochistan, Syed Zahoor Agha apprised Chairman Senate of the situation of novel coronavirus in the province.

Sanjrani emphasized for taking concrete steps to contain the spread of novel coronavirus and creating awareness against the pandemic. He said that implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) against COVID-19 pandemic would have to be ensured.
