KARACHI:,,, National Command and Operation Centre said on Friday that as many as 2,738 new coronavirus cases were reported overnight in Pakistan while 36 more patients died of the virus disease, raising the country-wide death toll from the virus to 7,561 since the outbreak of the disease in February 2020.
According to National Command and Operation Centre data, a total of 368,665 people have been tested positive for the coronavirus disease in the country since its outbreak in February 2020, out of which 159,752 cases were in Sindh, 112,893 in Punjab, 16,642 in Balochistan, 43,259 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 25,719 in Islamabad, 4,494 in Gilgit-Baltistan, and 5,806 in Azad Kashmir.
However, 327,542 patients have recovered from the disease so far. There is continuous rise in the coronavirus cases and deaths across the country.
