KARACHI:Sindh Health Department has imposed a ban on the use of plastic bags in the premises of hospitals and medical colleges of Sindh province.
Director General Health Services Sindh Dr Masood Ahmed Solangi has directed the divisional director health services and Karachi division at Karachi, district health officers, directors, civil surgeons, medical superintendents and medical superintendents to strictly implement the ban on the use of plastic bags (shoppers etc) in premises of their respective institutions.
They have been instructed to ensure and implement the directions received in letter and spirit. The matter must be treated as top priority.
The ban has been imposed on the directives of the competent authority i.e Chief Minister Sindh.
