Health Experts meet tomorrow to discuss civil services reforms in Sindh

KARACHI:The 1st consultative meeting of health experts would be held on Monday at Sindh Secretariat to discuses civil services reforms or restructuring in health sector which will be chaired by Vice Chancellor Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) Prof Dr Saeed Qureshi.

The Sindh Health Department on the directives of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Murad Ali has constituted a ten-members of health experts for civil services reform in health sector. The experts comprises on following; VC, DUHS, Prof Dr Saeed Qureshi, Director, National Institute of Child Health(NICH), Syed Jamal Raza, Director General Health Sindh, Dr Mubeen, Medical Superintendent, Lyari General Hospital, Dr Khadim Qureshi, Project Director, Expanded Program on Immunization(EPI) Dr Zahoor Baloch, Secretary HOTA, Dr Aijaz Khanzada, OSD, Health Department, Dr Sikandar Memon, Additional Director Health Services, Dr Nadeem Sheikh, District Officer, Curative Dr Arif Rashid Khan and Sindh Blood Transfusion Authority Dr Aftab Mallah.

The 1st consultative meeting with Task Force for Civil Services Reforms in health sector would be held on October 15, 2018. The Additional Chief Secretary Health Department Sindh has formed ten-member expert committee to attend consultative meeting with Task Force for Civil Services Reforms.

The heath experts will give their suggestions to bring reform in health department particularly improvement in patient care, importance of nursing care in health sector, how to make operational non-functional health facilities, current statue of health department, failures projects being run by health department, mismanagement in health sector, timely provision of medicines to patients, role of health care managers and other burning issues would be discussed in consultative meeting with Task Force for Civil Services Reforms, a member-committed told PPI.
