Ibrahim Haideri becomes Kasur of Karachi, police busy in VIP protocols: Haleem Adil

Karachi: Tehreek e Insaf Pakistan (PTI) leader Haleem Adil Sheikh has said that coastal area Ibrahim Haideri has become a Kasur of Karachi where cases are crimes against children have been continually reported, while the police are busy in VIP protocols leaving children of poor people at the mercy of molesters.

According to details, after reporting of a molestation attempt on a four-year-old schoolgirl by a school guard in Ibrahim Haideri, Senior Executive Vice President PTI Sindh Haleem Adil Sheikh rushed to the private school where an angry mob had already besiege it and it was feared that they might lynch the accused, Eedo Badinpoto.

However, Haleem Adil and his team managed to shift the accused in injured condition to local police station in a police van, where a probe was initiated. However, a heavy contingent of rangers also rushed there and controlled the tense situation.

When the area people knew about the presence of Haleem Adil in Ibrahim Haideri police station, the parents of another minor girl, victim of molestation after kidnapping, Saweera, also reached there and demanded justice. Innocent Saweera of Ibrahim Haideri was kidnapped one year ago and dumped on a street after molestation with severe cut injuries to her hands and neck.

Talking to media, Sheikh said that Ibrahim Haideri has become a Kasur of Karachi where minor children including girls are being subjected to molestation and torture. He reminded that in Ibrahim Haideri three minor girls have already been murdered after molestation and one other dumped seriously injured with semi-sliced throat after molestation.

He said the police do not find time to protect hapless citizens as cops and officers are over-occupied with the VIP protocol duties. He said the Sindh government has so far failed to dole out justice to the bereaved families of Ibrahim Haideri.

He reminded that in recent past a five-years-old boy belonging to Bengali-speaking community was murdered after inhuman torture in this locality and his body was thrown into the sea. He said the parents of the slain boy also cannot get justice so far.

He said our daughters are not safe and the rulers are not interested in providing them safety. He said like the Punjab police, their counterparts in Sindh are a textbook example of corruption and inefficiency.

He asked that inbuilt mechanisms should be introduced in all government and private schools so as to save children from molestation, torture and murder. He said our whole society has to come forward to make our streets, playgrounds and schools safer for our children.
