KARACHI:Inspector General of Police (IGP) Sindh on Wednesday ordered police to launch a massive crackdown on fake and illegal number plates throughout Sindh province.
The IGP instructed entire police force to take strict action against owners of vehicles, including motorcycles, moving in the city without number plates or having fake government numbers palates.
He said in this regard, police teams should be constituted tol take action against violators in different areas of the city, especially at the entry and exit points of the metropolis.
The IGP suggested that in order to initiate a successful crackdown against unauthorized fake government plates, it was essential for the departments to coordinate with each other at province level.
The IGP also said daily performance report should also be furnished to Central Police office in this regard.
