ISLAMABAD:Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front held candlelight protests in Srinagar and Budgam against the gross human rights violations by Indian troops in the territory.
In a statement in Srinagar, a JKLF spokesman said in connection with the ongoing Human Rights Week a number of candle light protests are being held in different areas of the Kashmir Valley.
The spokesman said despite heavy restrictions, JKLF leaders and activists held candlelight protests to draw attention of the world towards the Indian atrocities in the occupied territory.
He said purpose of arrest spree is to halt the ongoing people’s protests against human rights abuses by the Indian forces’ personnel.
