JI divides Punjab in three party units

LAHORE:Ameer, Jamaat e Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq, has with the approval of the JI central Shoora and the Punjab provincial Shoora, divided the JI Punjab into three units, central, northern and southern units, in the light of the article 38, A, 1 of the JIP constitution.

The central unit would include Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sahiwal divisions.

The northern unit would comprise Rawalpindi and Sargodha divisions, Islamabad district and two districts of Gujranwala division, Gujrat and Mandi Bahaud Din.

The southern unit comprises Multan, Bahawalpur, and D.G. Khan divisions.

The Shoora of all the three units have been summoned.

The Shoora of the Southern Punjab would meet in Multan on Sep. 15.

The Shoora of central Punjab has been summoned in Lahore on September 17 while the Shoora of the northern Punjab has been summoned on September 19.
