Kashmir: (Kashmiri diaspora members hold anti-India demo in London)

ISLAMABAD: Kashmiris have held a protest demonstration in London on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Summit to demand right to self-determination for Kashmiris.

People from all walks of life including women and children raised high-pitched slogans in favour of Kashmir’s freedom from India and against the Indian atrocities in occupied Kashmir.

Kashmiri diaspora leaders addressed the demonstration. Hurriyat leaders, Syed Ali Gilani, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq, Mohammad Yasin Malik, Aasiya Andrabi and Zamruda Habib addressed the protesters over phone from Srinagar.

The speakers demanded right to self-determination for the Kashmiris, end to the Indian state terrorism in occupied Kashmir and exemplary punishment for those involved in rape and murder of Aasifa.

A roadside roundtable was also organized on the occasion to highlight the Indian brutalities in occupied Kashmir and different aspects of the Kashmir dispute.
