ISLAMABAD: Federal government is constructing the Northern Bypass in Peshawar to ensure smooth flow of traffic in the provincial metropolis and its adjoining areas.
According to National Highway Authority, 32-kilometer long Northern Bypass will be completed at a cost of Rs 21 billion.
The four lane dual carriageway will link Jamrud area of Khyber Agency with Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway near Peshawar to enhance trade with Afghanistan.
The road will also boost trade and business activities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Mohmand, Khyber and Bajaur agencies.
