KP: (KP govt to construct 32,000 watercourses at cost of Rs50b during next four years)

Peshawar:Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to construct thirty-two thousand watercourses at a cost of fifty billion rupees during the next four years.

According to Agriculture department, work has also been initiated to utilize water from Gomal Zam dam to irrigate thousands of acres of barren lands in South Waziristan, Tank, Dera Ismail Khan and Lakki Marwat.

The main canal of Gomal Zam dam has been made operational to irrigate one hundred thousand acres in these areas.
