KWSB removes illegal cattle pen, nursery, constructions

KARACHI:As part of massive crackdown against illegal encroachments, Karachi Water and Sewerage Board (KWSB) on Sunday retrieved its precious encroached land comprising thousands of yards in Gulistan-e-Johar area of the city.

KWSB’s Enforcement Department Gulistan-e-Johar staff headed by Director Enforcement Tabish Raza, along with police, raided the area in the morning in Gulistan-e-Johar’s Block 1. The raiding team removed cattle pen and a nursery besides demolishing some constructions made illegally on the KWSB land.

KWSB Managing Director Khalid Shaikh visited the retrieved land and lauded the action taken by the Enforcement Department team. He instructed the officials to protect the KWSB prosperities, including colonies, from encroachments and get the FIRs registered against the encroachers.

The KWSB has stared operation against those encroaching its lands in the city. KWSB Managing Directors has issued directives for registration of cases against the encroachers.
