Lahore:Lawyers here Wednesday protested at Punjab Institute of Cardiology and reportedly beat up Punjab information minister Fiaz Chohan.
Protesting lawyers entered the hospital and broke glass panes of emergency ward. Many doctors and patients fled the scene. When Punjab information minister Fiaz Chohan reached there the lawyers also tortured him. Police used water cannon and baton charge to disperse the protesting lawyers who also set one police vehicle on fire. Rangers were called when police failed to control situation
Prime Minister Imran Khan and chief minister Usman Buzdar took notice of the incident and ordered an inquiry.
