Making Pakistan nuclear power was my duty: Nawaz Sharif

Lahore:Ex-Prime Minister of Pakistan and leader of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Mian Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has said that it was his sacred duty to strengthen Pakistan and make it a nuclear power.

Talking to PML-N leaders Senator Asif Kirmani, Talal Chaudhry Lahore, including Senator Asif Karmani, Talal Chaudhary and Amir Maqam who met him in Kot Lakhpat jail, he said strenghthening Pakistan has always remained his dream.

He said that it was not any favor but his national duty to make his country a nuclear power, and a strong nation. He said it was also my duty to build motorways.

Mian Nawaz Sharif said that the Pak Army has responded to India befittingly. He said that Pakistan has always talked about peace, as war is no solution to any problem.

Former Prime Minister said Pakistan’s future is bright and hopeful.

However, Nawaz Sharif expressed concern about poor sanitation situation in Lahore, saying that Lahore is being converted into a barrage dump and people miss the Punjab government of Shahbaz Sharif.

He further said that at the time of 1965 was he was a student but he visited Khem Karan to express solidarity with the brave armed forces.
