Quetta:A man and his mother were gunned down in Chaman Town, bordering Afghanistan, on Tuesday.
Levies said unidentified armed men opened fire on a vehicle near Bab-e- Kozak area on Quetta-Chaman Highway of Chaman District Killa Abdullah killing one Jan Popalzai along with his mother.
The attackers easily managed to escape after firing.
Deceased Jan Popalzai was recently released from District Prison Quetta and was proceeding to Qandhar, Afghanistan when his car came under attack.
Levies cited an old enmity as motive behind the murder. Further investigation was under way.
