Marri slams govt over ‘bad’ economic policies

KARACHI: Central Information Secretary PPPP and the Member of the National Assembly Shazia Atta Marri has said that if the policies of former President Asif Ali Zardari had been implemented, the situation of the country would have not been so worst as much as today.

Pak-Iran gas pipeline project was suspended by the government regrettably which was tantamount to show enmity with the country, she said in a statement issued here on today. Marri said that during the government of former President Asif Ali Zardari, all decisions were made by the parliament while at present, the fate of the country and the nation was being decided by ‘unelected’ people through undemocratic ways.

She said that the NAB had been playing a key role in deterioration of the country’s economy and added that now, hopefully, the umpire would be satisfied with Imran Khan Niazi’s incompetence. Marri uttered that poor people of the country were compelled to survive their lives on starvation and hunger due to rising inflation. She said that country could not be run through black and pink magic. The only solution to get rid of the incumbent prime minister was to move a no-confidence motion against him.
