Martyred trader, son laid to rest in Quetta

Quetta:A man and his son martyred in the terror attack on Chinese consulate in Karachi were buried in QDA cemetery, Quetta on Saturday.

According to the family of deceased businessmen, Government of Sindh extended no assistance to shift their dead bodies to Quetta.

The bodies of Haji Nisar and his son Zahir Shah killed in the terror attack on Chinese consulate were brought by road to their home at Khushal Road, Quetta.

After funeral prayer, the dead bodies were laid to rest at QDA cemetery. Funeral was attended by family members, relatives and friends.

Speaking to the media Haji Habib-ur- Rehman, brother of late Haji Nisar and Dawood Shah son of Haji Nisar said that Haji Nisar and Zahir Shah used to run a business of cloth. They would import clothes from China and sell it in Quetta. Since their visas had been expired, thus, they had been asked to visit the Chinese consulate for renewal of their visa at 9.00 am when the incident occurred.

They said that the Government of Sindh had delayed handing over dead bodies to the family. Had the Sindh Government handed over dead bodies in time, they would have brought them to Quetta via plane. The incident occurred at 9.00 am in the morning and they received dead bodies at 12.00 o’clock in the evening, therefore, they had no other option but to bring the dead bodies by road.

The family members of the deceased father and son said that the government of Sindh extended no cooperation nor any representative of Government of Balochistan has visited their home for condolence.
