ISLAMABAD:Minister for Planning, Development and Reform Makhdum Khusro Bakhtiar has said that socio-economic development of merged districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is among the top priority areas of the incumbent government.
Talking to Adviser to PM on Establishment Division Dr Shehzad Arbab here on Wednesday, he underlined that all possible measures will be taken to bring the region at par with other areas of the country.
He said formulation of next PSDP is under process and less developed areas will be accorded priority including erstwhile FATA.
He said a number of infrastructure and socio-economic projects will be initiated in the merged districts on demand.
Various infrastructure and other projects pertaining to the region also came under discussion in the meeting.
