ISLAMABAD:19th meeting of the Standing Committee on Law and Justice was held here on Tuesday under the Chairmanship of Riaz Fatyana, MNA.
The meeting started with the recitation from the Holy Quran. Before proceeding with agenda the committee offered Fatiha for the departed sole of the mother of the Hon. Member Mr. Syed Hussain Tariq.
The committee extended their profound grief and condolence to the member and his family. The Committee considered the Bill “The Legal Practitioner and Bar Councils (Amendment) Bill 2018, Moved by Ms. Aliya Kamran MNA” after detail deliberations the Committee recommends that the Bill may be passed by the Assembly.
The Committee considered “The Child Marriage Restraint (Amendment) Bill, 2019 (Moved by Dr Ramesh Kumar Vankwani, MNA)” after detail deliberations the Committee recommends that that the Bill may be deferred till next meeting scheduled to be held on 21st August, 2019 with recommendation that representative of the Ministry of Human Rights, be called to attend the meeting in connection with this Bill.
The Committee considered “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2019 (Amendment in Article 1, 51, 59, 106, 175A and 218) (Moved by Ali Khan Jadoon, MNA)” the Committee recommends that due to non-availability of the Mover the Bill may be deferred till next meeting.
The Committee considered “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2019 (Amendment in Article 51, 59, 106, 154, 175A and 218) (Moved by Murtaza Javed Abbasi, MNA)” after detail deliberations the Committee recommends that that the Bill may be deferred till next meeting.
The Committee considered “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2019 (Amendment in Article 51, 76 and 106) (Moved by Ms. Kishwer Zehra, MNA)” after detail deliberations the Committee recommends that that the Bill may not be passed by the Assembly.
The Committee considered “The Constitution (Amendment) Bill, 2019 (Amendment in Article 51and 106) (Moved by Dr. Darshan, MNA)” after detail deliberations the committee observed that the similar Bills has already been referred to the sub-committee hence the Bill is also referred to the sub-committee for its recommendations.
