No compromise on 18th amendment: Bilawal

LARKANA: Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP) Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari has said that his party will never compromise on the 18th amendment and provincial autonomy.

He was addressing notables and party activists at the residence of Nisar Ahmed Khuhro here on Thursday night.

Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah, Faryal Talpur, Suhail Anwar Siyal and others were also present.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that after five years of government they want to end the 18th amendment. He said proper funds under the NFC award are not being given to the provinces including Sindh.

He said that Khan Sahib has been criticizing the PPP but he should be asked what he has done for the people. He said it is the PPP which gave interest-free loans to the poor women and so far six Lakh families have been benefited.

He said 8000 kilometers of canal banks in Sindh have been strengthened. He said that he is not fully satisfied with the performance of the PPP government in Sindh, adding but if we are given proper share from the NFC award more development could be carried out.

Bhutto Zardari claimed in the coming elections his party will form government in Punjab province. He said there is no legal way to postpone the general elections, adding we want elections on schedule.

He announced that his sister Aseefa Bhutto Zardari will contest elections from Nawabshah.

He said they want that coming caretaker government should be non-controversial so that transparent, free and fair elections could be held. He said the PPP is not in favour of any controversial set up.

He said he will contest upcoming election against the PTI and PML-N by raising peoples’ problems. He claimed that his party will form governments all over Pakistan.

He said they want to establish English medium schools in every district of Sindh so that children of the poor can also benefit from education.

Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also inaugurated his election camp office. He also inaugurated an English medium high school and then visited Begum Nusrat Bhutto Girls College.

He offered condolence to the family members of late MNA Ayaz Soomro.
