Opinion Poll: (2 in 5 Pakistanis claim to be very tolerant in their personal lives: Poll)

ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 2 in 5 Pakistanis (41%) claim to be very tolerant in their personal lives.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “How tolerant are you in your personal life?” In response to this question, 41% said very much, 44% said somewhat and 13% said not at all. 2% did not know or wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1829 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, November 19- November 25, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
