Opinion Poll: (31% Pakistanis claim they miss Nawaz Sharif’s government: Poll)

ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, 31% Pakistanis claim they miss Nawaz Sharif’s government and want to see him in power again; 30% miss his government but do not want to see him in power again; and another 36% neither miss his government, nor want to see him in power again.

A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people say they miss the days of Nawaz Sharif’s government and wish to see him in power again, while others say they miss Nawaz Sharif’s government but do not want to see him in power again.

There are also people who say they neither miss his government nor want to see him in power again. What is your opinion?” In response, 31% said they miss Nawaz Sharif’s government and want to see him in power again, 30% said they miss his government but do not want to see him in power again, and 36% said they do not miss his government or want to see him in power again. 3% said that they did not know or wish to respond.

The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.

The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1,480 men and women in urban and rural areas of all four provinces of the country, during April 21-April 30, 2019. The error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 percent at the 95% confidence level.
