ISLAMABAD: According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, nearly 2 in 5 Pakistanis (42%) believe that Chaudhry Nisar leaving PML-N would be a huge loss for the party. 45% PML-N supporters opines the same.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked, “Some people believe that Chaudhry Nisar leaving PML-N would be a huge loss for the party.
Others think that Chaudhry Nisar leaving PML-N would only be a minor loss for PML-N. Yet some others also say that Chaudhry Nisar leaving PML-N would not harm the party at all.
What is your opinion about it?” In response to this question, 42% said very huge loss, 33% said only a minor loss and 17% said it would not be a loss at all.
8% did not know or wish to respond. 45% PML-N supporters said very huge loss, 33% supporters said only a minor loss and 15% said it would not be a loss at all. 7% did not know or wish to respond.
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup and Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International.
The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1581 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, April 16- April 23, 2018. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
