ISLAMABAD:According to a Gilani Research Foundation Survey carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, 53% Pakistanis opine that a public holiday should be declared across the country on Iqbal Day.
A nationally representative sample of men and women from across the four provinces was asked “Some people think that Iqbal Day should be a national holiday, while some think otherwise. What is your opinion?”
In response, 52% said that a holiday should be given across the country, while 35% said no. 13% did not respond. Question: “Some people think that Iqbal Day should be a national holiday, while some think otherwise. What is your opinion?”
The study was released by Gilani Research Foundation and carried out by Gallup & Gilani Pakistan, the Pakistani affiliate of Gallup International. The recent survey was carried out among a sample of 1826 men and women in rural and urban areas of all four provinces of the country, November 12- November 18, 2017. Error margin is estimated to be approximately ± 2-3 per cent at 95% confidence level.
