Police nab 14 suspects including six robbers

KARACHI: Karachi police on Saturday claimed to have arrested 14 criminals, including six street criminals, from different areas of the city.

During search operations in New Karachi, Baldia town and Saeedabad, police apprehended six street criminals, Haider Ali, son of Kausar Ali, Saleem, son of Ismail, Zubair, son of Ayub, Javaid, son of Iqbal, Muhammad Ali, son Ghulam Muhammad, and Shakil, son of Abdul Hameed, and recovered six TT pistols with rounds, two snatched motorbikes, eight cell phones and cash from their possession.

Separately, police carried out targeted raids in Liaquatabad, SITE, Jackson and Shershah areas, detaining five drug peddlers, Muhammad Waseem, Shah Jahan, Raj Wali Khan, Dolat Shah and Salman. The police claimed to have recovered a huge quantity of hashish, wine and gutka from their possession.

A Mangohpir police team arrested three accused for stealing water from a hydrant and seized water tanker. The accused were identified as Wajid, son of Atta, Israr, son of Gul, Jan Muhammad, son of Muqeem Khan.

According to SP Orangi town Abid Ali Baloch, during combing operation in Baloch Goth, police apprehended 19 suspects and recovered a TT pistol and hashish from them.
