Quetta:A lady polio worker was killed and another injured in an attack at Sultanzai area of Chaman, a city that borders Afghanistan.
According to Assistant Commissioner Chaman, Syed Sami Agha, a polio team was attacked in Sultanzai area of Chaman. As a result a polio worker, Bibi Nasreen, was killed while another worker Bibi Rasheeda, wife of Muhammad Afzal, resident of Murghee Bazaar, Chaman sustained injuries.
The body and injured polio worker were shifted to local hospital. The area was cordoned off and levies personnel started search for the attackers. Anti-Polio campaign was temporally been suspended in Sultanzai area of Chaman, said Assistant Commissioner Syed Sami Agha.
