QUETTA: Pakistan International Human Rights Organization, Child Rights Movement and civil society staged a protest demonstration against killing of minor girl Zainab Amin after sexual assault in Kasur in front of Press Club her e Thursday.
Protestors carried placards and pictures of girl Zainab inscribed with slogans against her brutal murder. Protestors chanted slogans against Government of Punjab. They demanded immediate arrest of killer.
Addressing on the occasion Sana Durrani, Fatima Zia and others said that this is not first incident of criminal assault in Pakistan with girls. According to Pakistan Human Rights commission report for 2017 577 cases of such nature were reported last year but non seriousness of the government is that despite passage of Children protection Bill children remained unsafe.
Civil society representatives said that such incidents have also been reported in Quetta but government waits for another incident.
They demanded of the government to fully implement Child Protection Bill so that such t4ragic incidents do not take place in coming days.
