QUETTA:Members of Balochistan Union of Journalists, Press Club Quetta and workers of different print and electronic media organizations staged a protest demonstration outside the press Club, Quetta here on Sunday against sacking of employees of a TV channel.
Ayub Tareen, President, Balochistan Union of Journalists, Raza-ur-Rehman, President, Press Club, Quetta and Essa Kamalzai, sacked Bureau Chief, 24 Channel addressed the protest demonstration.
They said on one hand media is considered as the fourth pillar of a state but one the other hand people affiliated with this noble profession in our country are being sacked on short notices and without proper compensation.
They said in order to show solidarity with the sacked employees, the budget session of Balochistan Provincial Assembly will be boycotted on Monday.
