Quetta kidnapped doctor yet to be recovered

Quetta:A doctor kidnapped from Quetta city has not yet been recovered despite lapse of considerable period of time. Strike of doctors for the recovery of abducted doctor has been going on for the last one month.

Senior Faculty Member of Bolan University of Medical and Health Sciences and Neuro Surgeon Doctor Sheikh Khalil Ibrahim was abducted on 14 December 2018 from the area of Model Town at that time when he was on his way to home after performing duty at a private hospital.

Doctors Action Committee announced boycotting Out-Patients-Departments (OPDs), General Surgery and Radiology Departments at government run hospitals as a protest. Strike of Doctors and Paramedical staff in Out-Patients-Departments (OPDs), General Surgery and Radiology Departments of government run hospitals has been in continuity for the last one month while at private hospitals, strike is being observed from 3 pm to 5 pm due to which patients confront severe hardships.

Doctors Action Committee declared steps taken by the government for recovery of Neuro Surgeon Doctor Sheikh Khalil Ibrahim in-sufficient and said that if the abducted doctor was not recovered soon, the circle of protest would be extended.
