Thatta:Growers and citizens held a protest rally here Saturday against price hike and new taxes.
The rally staged by Sindh Agricultural General Workers Union marched from the Edhi Center to Thatta Press Club.
Addressing the rally Sindh Agricultural General Workers Union President Ali Ahmed Panhawar demanded to reduce price hike and withdraw new taxes. He also demanded to end artificial water shortage in Sindh province. They said the workers of Sindh reject the recent budget as it has further increased poverty and hunger.
Later, the protesters dispersed peacefully.
