Rangers arrest PPP leader and former adviser Dahri in Daulatpur

NAWABSHAH: Sindh rangers and police in a joint operation apprehended a most wanted alleged criminal Sardar Mohammad Ismail Dahri, from Daulatpur area of the Nawabshah in the wee hours of Thursday.

According to Rangers spokesperson Major Qambar Raza, on an intelligence report, about criminals, the rangers and police conducted a targeted operation at the residence of Dahri, the former adviser to the chief minister of Sindh and a member of the Pakistan Peoples Party, in Daulatpur.

During the raid the rangers and police arrested Dahri and recovered five SMGs, one pistol with a magazine, two 40-MM grenade racket launchers, and 13 rounds from his possession.

The rangers’ spokesman also said Dahri was wanted to police in five cases, including incitement and mayhem, attempted murder, possession of illegal arms, as well as land grabbing and other crimes.

Further, the Rangers spokesperson turned down that news reports claiming Dahri’s arrest came alongside that of 40 others are false and baseless.
