LAHORE:Deputy chief of the Jamaat e Islami, Dr Farid Ahmed Piracha, has called upon the government to return the excess amounts charged from the consumers on Sui gas bills last month adjusting it in the fresh bills as per its promise.
In a statement here on Monday, he said that last month, the gas consumers were issued bills under some new formula, charging more than double of normal amounts upon which there was great uproar and strong protest.
He demanded that a notification for the reimbursement of the excess amounts be issued forthwith.
