SAPM: (For first time laws being enforced to eliminate corruption: Dr Firdous)

ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to Prime Minster (SAPM) on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said there will be no longer Benami transactions and assets.

In a tweet on Tuesday, she said it is for the first time that the relevant law is being enforced to eliminate corruption.

She said Chairman and members have been appointed in the Adjudicating Authority of FBR. She said Tax Commissioners have also been appointed in Benami zones.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan pointed out that the Tax Commissioner Benami Zone Karachi has attached the Benami property and shares of a prominent political family of Sindh under Benami law. She said this step reflects emergence of “Naya Pakistan”.
