ISLAMABAD:Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development Syed Zulfiqar Abbas Bukhari has said that the government is working to include the informal labor community into Employees Old-Age Benefits Institution to uplift their living standard.
Addressing a ceremony in connection with Labour Day organized by CDA Mazdoor Union here on Wednesday, he said, in this regard, a computerized system is being introduced within three months and laws of the institution will also be amended.
He said the EOBI will be made a mega institution of pension funds in coming days. He said pension is an integral part of the rights of workers.
He said “Mazdoor ka Ehsas Programme” is a mega project of welfare of workers. He said, under this programme, there are 115 different programs of various components.
He said the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan is to ensure the bright future of underprivileged segment of the society by providing them all the basic necessities of life.
