SHEIKHUPRA:At least seven members of a family were killed after the roof of their house collapsed in Ferozewala’s Kot Abdul Malik in the wee hours of Wednesday.
According to police, the roof of a two-story house collapsed due to heavy rain in Kot Abdul Malik Ferozewala area. As a result, five children, Baitullah, aged 5, Abdullah, 7, Alisha, 7, Abubakar, 8 Muqadas, 10 and their parents died on the spot.
Local police said the family was sleeping at night when the incident occurred. The rescue teams reached the site in the morning and then retrieved all the bodies under the rubbles. The bodies were shifted to a nearby hospital for their postmortem examination.
