SHC grants bail to Haleem Adil Sheikh in fake FIR case

Karachi:Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Vice president and parliamentary party leader in Sindh Assembly Haleem Adil Sheikh along with his team of lawyers reached the Sindh High Court (SHC), where he was granted bail in fake FIR case lodged against him at Kunri police station. MPA Raja Azhar, Advocate Shahid Soomro, Ali Nasir and other PTI leaders were present.

Earlier, talking to media outside the SHC, Haleem Adil said he said he had gone to Kunri to offer funeral prayer of the martyrs of Tezgam Train fire tragedy, where a life attempt was made on him on behest of provincial minister of Sindh Nawaz Taimoor Talpur and SSP Umerkot Aijaz Sheikh. He said he was assaulted and the vehicle of his friend was damaged. However, the police also lodged FIR against them.

He said this type of injustice creeps in society when ‘politicized SSPs’ are posted. He said the police did not allow him to lodge his FIR of attack on him. He said then he was doled out justice from session’s court and a case was also lodged on application of his private secretary Lal Muhammad against Nawab Taimoor Talpur, SSP Umerkot Aijaz Sheikh, town chairmen Shakeel Bajiwa and others.

He said this is the history of PPP government that the police officers who do not follow their illegal orders are transferred and removed. He said Qayum Pitafi arrested a criminal and he was transferred. He said SSP Dr Rizwan was also punished for telling truth. He said the IGP Sindh Kaleem Imam refused to become the slave of PPP government and he faces the consequences. He said today chief minister has written a letter to the Prime Minister and suggested three names for the slot of IGP Sindh.

He said the rulers also tried to mislead when they claimed that they were holding consultations. He asked if such letters were ever written when IGPs of Punjab and KpK were transferred. He said the Sindh rulers presented a charge sheet against the IGP on media. He said now instead of chief secretary, the secretary service is writing letters to the federal government. He said the federal government would send three names and till its satisfaction the present IGP would not be transferred.

He said we will ensure that if IGP is transferred he is transferred as per rules. He said the Sindh rulers are trying to pressurize the federal government but in vain. He said the federal government is not a ‘Bilawal House’ to take decisions after hidden deals. He said everything would be done as per law and rules. He said the rulers of Sindh want an IGP who behaves like their personal servant but it is not possible.
