KARACHI:Sindh High Court (SHC) on Tuesday prevented the relevant authorities from dismissing revenue department employees.
A two-member bench of SHC, headed by Justice Aqeel Abbasi, heard a petition filed by Hameer Bhatti and others against the revenue department for not confirming jobs of hundreds of is employees.
The bench sought a reply from Sindh Chief Secretary and Revenue Department Secretary. The petitioner stated that over 600 employees of anti-encroachment cell, working under revenue department, had not been confirmed.
He said that recruitment was made in 2011, but still, the employees were working on contract and now relevant authorities were talking about dismissing them.
The petitioner said that as per the law, all employees who were recruited in 2011 needed to be confirmed now.
