SHCC takes legal action against quacks

KARACHI:Sindh Health Care Commission (SHCC) drive against quacks continued throughout Sindh province Friday and quacks have been instructed to follow Standard Operating Procedures.

The SHCC have also started legal proceedings against 85 sealed clinics closed last week during anti-quackery drive in five districts of the Sindh province including Jacobabad, Mirpurkhas, Tando Allahyar, Tando Muhammad Khan and Badin.

The campaign is being continued in collaboration with local district administration, law enforcement agencies and Sindh Health Department

The Directorate of Complaints Sindh Health Care Commission have also conducted awareness sessions at Divisional Headquarters of Larkana and Ghotki districts. These awareness sessions have been attended by medical superintendents, doctors, nursing staff and governmental officials of health department.

A inspection has been conducted at People’s Primary Healthcare Initiative (PPHI) Ghotki by Directorate of Complaint SHCC against complaint received. The Directorate of Clinical Governance has issued minimum service delivery standards of homeopathy which has been forwarded to Sindh Health Department for review and approval.

In Karachi, inspections have been initiated for issuing provisional licenses.
